Relevant Information: This species is similar to A.murraystuarti which is known from the upper Irrawaddy River drainage. Both species differ from all other congeners in having a truncate caudal opposed to (deeply forked or emarginate) more vertabrae (45-48 vs 34-41). Differs from A.mangois in having a complete lateral line, longer maxillary barbels longer than head, and upper lip longer than the lower. The specimens shown were collected by the image contributor at Rydak I & 2 near Shipra, Jalpaiguri District, West Bengal.
