I recently adopted a 8" albino channel cat. I have a pond in the back yard that is 8' x 6' x 2 1/2' deep. My filter is 2 50 gallon drums full of lava rock and filter material. It is run by 2 little giant 1" pumps. i also hav a trough heater. Will my albino channel cat be alright in this pond?

I am assuming that you are from South Alberta and the temperatures would be temperate, but being in the UK I may be barking up the wrong tree here as the Channel Cat will not do too well if the temperatures get much below 8c (42f). The best bet would be to ask in your area what your chances would be. You mention a trough heater which I am not familiar with but if it keeps the temperature up at around the 20c ( 67f) mark it should do all right. There is a factsheet on this species here
Allan.
