So far no luck with spawning these fishes, but I'll just keep on trying biggrin.gif

Yesterday I moved the whole tank, because my whole family is moving. Prepared water was waiting in the new fishroom, and the move was done with only an inch of water left in the fish tank. Then the whole fish tank was carried 3 houses up the road and placed in our new home (thank heaven we're not moving very far biggrin.gif ).
This means the C weitzmanis had a water change of 85-90 % yesterday... and they did just fine (as all my other fishes did). Their new water was pre-heated, aired and ph-adjusted in a large, empty tank with clean water and then pumped over to the fish tanks with a powerhead and a rubber hose.

I hoped for some spawning activity after that, but nothing.... I guess the temperature wasn't cool enough (the new water had the same temperature as before; 25 degrees Celsius).
I'll just have on keep on trying:-)

These photos was taken today. The new placement of the tank gives a better view and easier access, so it's easier to take photos from all angles.

Hi Mona,

Where did your long finned aeneus originate from ?

I'm afraid I don't know :-) I forgot to ask.
They have spawned again, by the way, but I think this little guy is a little bit young yet because this time the eggs didn't look fertile.

Some increased activity after the water change (yesterday), and a lot of swimming up and down the glass in the tank, but nothing else has happened so far wink.gif

Hope no one minds me putting out some more photos of these fish:-)
I just can't get enough of them.
