Hi All,

This months factsheet takes us to Africa and a member of the Mochikadae family, Synodontis schall. An aggressive catfish but interesting never the less. You can view the page here http://www.scotcat.c...ntis_schall.htm
Allan.

Nice fish for the larger tank. Do you keep this one Allan?

No I haven't kept this species personally Graham, but I always remember a few years ago when SAF was held in Dunfermline and there was a large tank setup with large, run of the mill plecos, and one large specimen of S.schall and there was quite a bit of body damage on the Pleco's which I could not believe with them being so tough, and that picture has always stuck in my head since. I would think that you would need to pick tankmates carefully for this species.
Allan.
