Hi guys,

Could you help me to decide whether this is a C. naponesis or nanus?

Hi Toxotes,

First of all welcome to the SC forums and we hope you enjoy your stay.

I actually think that it is a C.bilineatus male that you have there. C.nanus has a more elongated snout and napoensis, which it is close to, hasn't got such a bright pattern. I have a trio of bilineatus myself and the males are absolutely stunning.

I will soon post a few more photos about my former ( :( ) Corys (axelrodii, metae, rabauti, panda, bilineatus (?). paleatus) and their fry.
I used to have a fish-house with 70 fish tanks (in Hungary), but since I have moved to the UK I am restricted to 2 tanks...

I would also say C. napoensis.

C. nanus is a species from Suriname a country with not aquarium fish trade, the only fish ti come into the hobby from there are those brought back by hobby collectors.
