How many male vs female for breeding corydoras trilineatus, arcuatus and brochis splendens? I have first three brochis splendens - two male and one female - and have couple spawns - from i have always fry.

Two males and one female seems to be the right ratio for your Corydoras . This will probably be right for the vast majority of Cory/Brochis/Aspidoras species although this can vary but if you aim for 2m and 1f if they are sexable, but if you buy young Cory's it would be best to buy a group if you can't sex them.

Panda can be prolific and spawn weekly but they may stop suddenly and not spawn for a while. It just depends on the water conditions and the quality of the feeding.

I am spawning Scleromystax sp. (C113) at the moment and they are laying every six to seven weeks but I am not getting a lot of fry out of them as some of the eggs have not been fertilised, probably I think, due to the fighting between the two males that I have got.

Well done on the Brochis splendens as the fry are stunning looking.
Allan.

One of the things that we have to take into account when purchasing our catfish is that we buy enough of the species that we want to breed and have back ups in case of need..

OK; so for example. Say we buy 2 males and 1 female, what happens if the female dies? We end up having just one sex.
This might not be a problem if the species are found quite often in our LFS as we can always go out and buy some more; however, what if the species is hard to come by we may end up with a same sex group and therefore unable to attempt to breed them.

Just a thought

BTW Allan well done with the C113

And one more problem - in Poland - when in the market are mature corydoras - there are always males. Then when i will have chance to have females i MUST buy group of young corydoras.
