This is a small Bristlenose that I got in Wharf Aquatics.
It has some orange patches, or mottles.
I am hoping that the colouration gets stronger as it gets bigger, as It looks very good.
Can anyone give me a definate I.D.

Hard to see from this angle but it looks like a Peckoltia species to me or a young Pseudancistrus sp.! What do the other members think? May be another pic from a better angle.

Can you get some more pictures ? Side view would help

It looks like an ancistrus sp3 to me - but I agree a side view would be better. From the top view it looks to me like there may be some browny/gold colouration in the dorsal fin?

Hiya,
Yes there is some goldish colour on the dorsal fin.
I have taken some more photos which I will post soon.
I have upgraded my computer and I am having hassle getting it up an running.

Here are a couple more photos of the wee bristlenose.
As it has grow, it looks less ginger/gold. But sometimes it can appear very ginger/gold.
I think it is a "common".
What do you think?

The mouth just doesn't look right to me to be an Ancistrus, how about a Guyanancistrus sp ? anybody...

Thats very interesting.
I will try to find out more about L317s.
When I got this wee fella, they had 2 more in with a load of common Bristlenose.
Now I wish I had bought them all, as my one is a fantastic wee fish.
It is out and about all the time, and seems to take any food.
Also it looks beautiful.
