There's 2 bronze cories in the tank along with 1 swordtail, my last surviving rosy red fathead minnow, 2 serpae tetras, 2 lampeye tetras, 2 gold barbs and 3 blue tetras. They all get along pretty well with the exception of my largest blue--he frequently chases the barbs so may have to separate them. None of these seem very interested in the cories, thankfully.

Yes, that's the way I wanted it! tongue.gif Both my 5 and 10 gal tanks are colorful as well. My 30 gal gf tank and my 16 gal. trop tank are much more natural looking, however. I'll be posting pix of them all soon.

How do the tetras get on with the swordtail? Both serpae and red-eye tetras can be a bit nippety IME.

Yeah, good call Graham, I remember having to return serpae tetras back to my LFS when I was just starting off in the hobby, I think they were even worse than Tiger Barbs. sad.gif

Well, they've been together for a few months and seem to ignore each other. I was a bit worried about that at first since I didn't want anything to damage the sword's tail. He's in there because he fought with my other sword male and a high fin platy so they all had to be separated.

I saw my larger red eye go after my hatchet fish and an albino cory (they are now in different tanks) but he totally ignores the bronze cories and all the other fish except his little red eye buddy. I think the serpaes were involved in attacking the albino as well but again, are disinterested in the bronze--so apparently they don't like lighter colored fish?? Now they just chase each other. Do you think it's just a matter of time before they do some damage? I've had to rearrange fish already a few times trying to get groups that will work.

I don't think it's inevitable no. If it works the way you have it set up that's great. Tank dynamics change all the time though as fish mature and move around the pecking order so it's always wise to keep an eye on things. Which I'm sure you're doing anyway.
