hi folks
can bronze corys be used to eat up the uneaten food in a tank of new born danio fry? will they eat the fry? also will they eat up the infertile eggs on the bottom of the tank? will apple snails be a better option? any info will be greatly appreciated. tks

Hi Alvin,

No I wouldn't recommend using Cory's as they need their own regular diet and not the uneaten food from other fish. I suppose Apple snails would do it but you would also have the waste to contend with from them, so it really defeats the purpose. I would recommend syphoning the uneaten food in your regular water changes into buckets in case you syphon any fry up also and cut down on your feeding, with feeding more often with smaller amounts.
Allan.
