This isn't a very good pic, but it's the spotted fish I need to be identified, at the bottom next to the Clown Loach. It doesn't belong to me, but I received the pic asking if I could tell what it was. At first I thought it was some sort of Cyprinids because of the Caudal fin, but when I look close it hase got an elongated mouth similar to some Catffish, so I was wondering if it could be one

Any help would be apreciated

I don't believe this is Synodontis decorus.

S decorus has a barred/stripped caudal fin, whereas the one in the picture has intermittent flashes along the outer edges of its caudal fin, and it is in all probability likely to be a hybrid. (there are quite a lot of Syno hybrids reaching our LFS and more are forecast) angry.gif
Probably S decorus crossed with something like S multipunctata (or similar) .

If you look at the caudal and dorsal fins they are akin to S multipunctata 'types'

Thanks for replies, funnily enough on research, I thought it was a S decorus and my friend a S multipunctata It now turns out it's a Synodontis sp. hybrid (5) whatever that is wacko.gif
