I'm considering breeding Corys, and I was wondering If I could use Golden pearls instead of BBS or Microworms. If so, what sizes would I need?

I've not seen them for sale but I've heard of them. They are tiny granules of fish meal that have been treated so that they contain tiny pockets of air. Think of them as miniature maltesers. (Without the chocolate) The upshot is that they stay in the water column rather than sink to the bottom. People are using them as a bbs substitute.
I think they come in different sizes.

They are being quoted as originally created for marine fry but seem to do very well for all fry. Obviously being floaters for a while they last longer for corry fry so take this into consideration when feeding.

I have found them to replace BBS and of course there is no hatching involved.
I am sure there will be somewhere in the UK that sells them as well, if not let me know and I will see what the costs would be to mail them over to Bonny Scotland.

Hi Steve,
I will be going down to England for the Catfish Study Group auction in a couple of weeks so I will ask about. There is somewhere in the back of my brain (there is not much room there
) that tells me that I have seen it in the U.K.

I haven't tried them yet, but due to the big jump in the price of brine shrimp eggs it won't be long!!
