I hope someone can help Identify, I believe my Blue Eyed Plec "Steve" (after Steve Irwin!!). I don't know if (Steve or Stevina!) it is male or female. Can anyone help???? Oh and sorry about the rubbish photo's he/she is camera shy! My Plec is about 6.5 inches long and has stunning deep blue eyes with a black fleck in it. He is dark brown but the skin changes every so often going light brown. Oh and it destroys my plants until I discovered its love for cucumber! I'm also thinking about selling him/her and am keen to know how much they are worth.

I have been keeping fish for just over a year now and about 9 months ago accured a Blue eyed Plec. I bought it due to the fact that it had amazing coloured eyes and recently found out that they are very hard to come by and potentially are worth a lot of money. I have been having a few teething problems with my largest tank and have had a few fatalities and if my Blue eyed Plec is valuable I'd and rare, I'd rather not have him or her!! as a fatality especially if he or she may be useful for breading potential. realise that breading them is very difficult but would hate to miss out on an opportunity. I would potentially sell him by unsure at the moment as still doing my research.

If there is anyone out there that is interested or can help please resply.
