19 September 2007 - 04:12 PM
Ive got a group of huge C. sodalis, 2 females 4 males, i have tried to get them to spawn what i know to work with my cichlids, lower temp, soften water, water changes every couple of days etc, but as for corys ive only ever successfully spawned peppers. anyone have any suggestions on how i might get them to go?

Hi all, some of you will know me from another forum.
I have been keeping tropicals for 25+ years, at the moment I have 7 tanks (soon to be a lot more),
A 240l mbuna tank with various africans (too many to list) and a big common plec,
A 180l south american tank with a pair of green severums, a pair of firemouths, a big ole common plec, hatchets, buenos aries tetras, 6 C.sodalis and 3 apisto agassizi.
A 180l community, with the usual community fish plus a bulldog plec, 3 C.weitzmanni, 4 trils, and 4 peppers, and a couple of kuhlis.
A 70l tank full of malawi fry, and 2 big rock shrimps
A 70l tank with a pair of juvenile albino bristlenoses, 7 C139's, a couple more trils, 2 shrimps and a couple of juvenile betta females (who slipped the net when their sisters went to the LFS!
A coldwater tank with mostly fantails, and a few hillstream loaches
And finally my Q tank which only has a couple of shrimps in at the moment (though i have only just got it back after my fish went into breeding overdrive!!!)
nice to meet you all
