Thanks Allan and Kcat... Initially, I added 1 tbs of salt (It's a 10 gallon), but about 2 hours later I did a 60% water change and changed the carbon filter... I have to confess. I was negligent about keeping clean water in that tank.. It was just amazing what the small steps I took caused... The Ich I saw disappeared. I'm going to continue with cleaning up and maintaining the environment as well as using temperature (85-86 degrees F) for a while. I feel bad about not having maintained my fish's environment, but will do better... No fish lost to this point.. Thanks for the help.. Alan
I don't think that Cory's suffer from swim bladder disease, I would hazard a guess that Ammonia poisoning is the culprit here. Large water changes of between 25-50% should be made every couple of days and also lowering the p. H. if it is over 7 as the higher the p.H. values are, the higher the Ammonia levels increase.
