Palatal tooth patches distinctly triangular, their
long axes at about 70° to curve of mouth. Remarks:
Nemapteryx caelata in Eschmeyer's Catalog
of Fishes has now been deemed a synonym of N.
nenga but in Fishbase this species is still listed
as being valid.

Ganges River, India.
