Description: This is a undescribed species from the Serra do Cachimbo (English: Cachimbo Range) a low mountain range in the southern part of the state of Pará, Brazil. It is located mostly in the municipalities of Altamira, Itaituba, Jacareacanga, and Novo Progresso. Aquarium Care: The larger species are most likely predatory of smaller fish in the aquarium as per their close relatives of the Pimelodidae family but this is a small species.
