Relevant Information:

The ancistrini is a tribe of the subfamily hypostominae. At the moment (2018), can not be placed in any of the described genera due to the overlaps of traits to different genera. Mature males have odontodes that are round very short and look like a bubble structure. The adipose fin is very keel like. Similar looking to Ancistrini sp. (L461). Remarks: When captured they had a green body colour but quickly lost this and changed to the colours seen in the images.
