This specimen
was a contaminant in a shipment from Brazil to Pier Aquatics,
Wigan, England in March 2002 from the Rio Tiquié
and is said to be a hybrid cross between C.
virginiae
and Corydoras "Mega- Metae" C085
which come from this river, a tributary of the upper Rio Negro.
There is also mooting's that this is either a variety of C138
or C016.
Aquarium care: This
is akin to most of this genus, very peaceful, and would be best
housed with small to medium tank mates such as Tetras, Rasboras
and Danios or in a species tank for
breeding purposes. Diet: A good quality
flake food and tablet food for adults with sporadic feedings of
frozen or live food will keep your Corydoras in good
health. |
