This family of Catfish are termed "Banjo Catfishes"
due to their banjo-like flattened shapes. Two groups are
recognised, the short-tail banjo's with an anal fin the
same size as the head and the long- tail banjo's
which posses a very long anal fin with a longer body. Very
nocturnal and will do better over a sand substrate
where they can bury themselves. |
