Placed in Lineage 1, and when there is a revision

granular foods, tablet food, frozen bloodworm and

Red List
Even
though there are no available data on the population
status and trend, the species is known from multiple
records in Suriname. It is plausible to assume that
the species may occur in other localities within the
currently known distribution range. Considering this
and the fact that there are no known threats to the
species as whole, Corydoras oxyrhynchus is
assessed as Least Concern
(LC), (IUCN 2023).
