Description: There is a series of small plates along ventral midline between vent and anal fin. Colouration: The distal tip of dorsal fin is dusky or black. Etymology: The specific name stenopeltis: sténos (Gr.), narrow; peltis, from pélte (Gr.), small shield, probably referring to the long and narrow humeral process. |
