Relevant Information: Very similar to S.serratus and may be the same species. Has a uniform brown body with a small scattering of spots. Has a long head and two black stripes running along the lobes of the caudal fin.

Distribution: Africa: Chad, Niger, Nile, Volta basins and Bénoué River. Type locality: Chartoum, upper Nile.
Size: 30.5cm. (12¼ins)
