Red List
This
species is known from the Mahakam River drainage in
Borneo and the Tulangbawan River drainage in southern
Sumatra. Potential threats include habitat degradation
resulting from deforestation due to logging and land
conversion for plantation agriculture. However, the
direct impact of these threats on habitat extent and
population status are unknown. Given uncertainties regarding
the extent of occurrence (EOO), population size, status,
and the scope and magnitude of potential threats, this
species is assessed as Data
Deficient until more information becomes
available (IUCN 2020).
