Relevant Information:

This species is sympatric with C. similis and Corydoras sp. C066. There is another look-a-like from the State of Rondônia which has a different head shape and the position of the caudal blotch. Aquarium Care: As per this genus, housed with non aggressive species or a species tank. Buy at least 6 as they will stay together in the tank which will make them feel more comfortable in their surroundings. Diet: As per this genus with good quality flake food, tablet, frozen and small worm foods.

South America: Brazil; Purus River basin, middle Amazon system. Type locality: Brazil, Est. Acre, Rio Iquiri (= Rio Ituxi) at road Rio Branco village —Abuna, 47 kilometers from Rio Branco village (about 10º00'S, 67º30'W), Purus River system.
