Information: |
These
particular specimens were caught in the Paraná River, two
miles from Paraná City and in a small lagoon
called "La Ensenada" by the Image contributor in
2003. There are close on 10, still to be identified
species of Rineloricaria in the Paraná
river basin and we have labeled them as they are
collected as, "Paraná 1" & 11 etc. This
species has one filament on the top lobe of the caudal fin
and is light brown in colouration. It also has irregular
blotches on the head and down the length of its body and a
more blunted head than "Paraná 1" and it
also possess more rounded dorsal and pectoral
fins than the latter. |
