Relevant Information:

These particular specimens were caught in the Paraná River, two miles from Paraná City and in a small lagoon  called "La Ensenada" by the Image contributor in 2003. There are close on 10, still to be identified species of  Rineloricaria in  the Paraná river basin and we have labeled them as  they are collected as, "Paraná 1" & 11 etc. This species has one filament on the top lobe of the caudal  fin unlike "Paraná 1" which has 2 and it is also lighter in body colouration. This could probably turn out to be a member of the Hemiloricaria genera due to the filament on the caudal fi.
