Synodontis albolineata  Pellegrin, 1924

Relevant Information: Synodontis albolineatus was the original name for many years, but the gender of the generic name has been declared feminine, so the name goes back to the original of S.albolineata. Aquarium Care: As with the majority of this genera. Remarks: There is doubts whether the thumbnail images are in fact this species due to the lack of a midlateral stripe (Ed.) although the author of the article and contributor of the images noticed a thick white lateral line which was clearly visible but now this has become covered by black-brown skin. The head has a shield very much like that of Synodontis nigrita and the first ray of the dorsal is thickened.
Common Name: Mustard Catfish
Synonyms: None
Family: Mochokidae blycipitidae
Distribution: Africa: known from the type locality, Ogowe basin.
Size: 9.5cm. (3¾ins)
Temp: 23-26°C (73 -79°F)
p.H. 6.5 -7.2.
