Claroteidae

Claroteidae
Was previously a sub-family of the Bagridae, this group of catfishes has now been elevated to its own family status. All from the African continent.

Sizes vary in this family from the larger Chrysichthys to the smaller Lophiobagrus genera of Lake Tanganika.
