Contains some of the more secretive members of the Siluriformes.
This family is the only one to undergo internal insemination
and fertilisation. Known as Driftwood or Wood Cats owing to
their habit of hiding in hollow logs during the day.
Confused sometimes with the members of the Doradidae family
but lack the lateral bony scutes.
